Recordings are now being accepted for those wishing to participate in a masterclass or in the Young Artist showcase recital. Here’s how to apply:

Please send your video recording via email to with the following information:

Repertoire: Repertoire for all the recital and masterclasses performances to be selected from the works by Alexander Scriabin.

Format: Please send performances via email with an embedded YouTube link. (If you are selected, you will later be contacted to transfer the original video file to the SSA via Box or Google Drive. ***Only .MOV or .mp4 formats will be accepted.***)

Memorization and Editing: All works must be memorized and recordings should be unedited.

Quality: Please consider the quality of the piano used, the sound quality of the recording, your dress and lighting to be adequate for potential presentation in the festival.

The Master Classes will each be two hours long with six students performing works 6-10 minutes in length (longer repertoire is acceptable but will be subject to cuts).

The Young Artist recital will last up to 120 minutes in length, with each performance a maximum of 15 minutes.

Priority for masterclass performers will generally be given to those NOT playing in recitals, and vice versa.

Applicants not selected to play may be put on a waiting list, if applicable.

Applicants wishing to apply for both masterclass and recital performances must specify which event he/she prefers. Participation in both events is not guaranteed.

Application Deadlines:

Participant applications for recital or master classes performances must be submitted by October 1, 2022. We will acknowledge receipt of all applications.

SSA will notify applicants for master classes and recital of the outcome of their application by Monday, October 17, 2022.

Registration checklist:

  1. Names and age as of November 11, 2022
  2. Work titles/movements, and lengths
  3. Name of student’s teacher (where applicable)
  4. Your preference for masterclass and/or recital
  5. Link to YouTube recording

Please write and make a payment of the necessary fees, $25 for young artist recital, $50 for masterclass, or $75 for both. Payment can be made through the online options below or by check made out to Scriabin Society of America, Inc.
